Upon arriving at the Historic Charlottetown Seaport, your passenger’s arrival will be greeted by warm hospitality of Charlottetown’s Cruise Ship Ambassadors, a volunteer group of residents who enthusiastically welcome passengers as they disembark. Being an Island, we are known for our Island hospitality and the friendliness of our people. The Charlottetown Cruise Ship Ambassadors are noticeable by their brightly colored vests and are able to assist passengers with special needs, provide directions and visitor information. The Ambassadors are strategically placed at the port and in downtown Charlottetown to distribute cruise ship maps, which will help passengers, navigate throughout the downtown. Prince Edward Island’s most popular character, Anne of Green Gables, along with a veteran RCMP Officer in red surge are also located portside for that special photo opportunity; as well local fiddler and lively step dancers are always ready to entertain.
For more information about the Cruise Ship Ambassador Program or to volunteer as a Cruise Ambassador, please contact Matt McInnis at 902-629-1714 or send an email to mmcinnis@walkandseacharlottetown.com
